Loved the warm welcome and friendly staff. The breakfast options were excellent, with a great selection to choose from. The bed was super comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The location was perfect, being situated in a beautiful and peaceful village, surrounded by history.
The WiFi was a bit weak, but hey, who goes to the countryside for WiFi anyway? , if you rely on public transport, it might be a bit difficult to get around, although not impossible.

I stayed at Gleneven Guest House for a few days and I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and accommodating hosts, Heinz and Rose. The hotel might not be luxurious, but it offers a comfortable and peaceful stay in a lovely town. The owners were kind enough to allow me to store my bags before and after checkout, even going the extra mile to protect them from the rain. The included breakfast was delicious and the garden area was a nice place to relax. I highly recommend this charming little place.
Totally recommend this hotel.

We had a very relaxed and enjoyable stay at this charming old guesthouse. the warm welcome and engaging conversation made us feel right at home. the comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep, and the hot water and easy-to-use shower were a bonus. the breakfast was well presented, and we particularly enjoyed the delicious yogurt. the location is also convenient for accessing nearby attractions.
Some areas of the guesthouse could benefit from some tidying up, such as the shower sealant and broken tile edges in the bathroom.

During my Xmas stay at this guest house, I was pleased with a few things. the price was quite reasonable, which was a big plus. the location was absolutely beautiful, offering stunning views that added to the overall experience. Lastly, I enjoyed the breakfast options provided, with a variety of choices like cereals, yogurt, fruits.
the cleanliness of the rooms was not up to par, with unclean showers and dirty sink plugs, which was quite disappointing. the lack of soundproofing in the rooms made it difficult to have a peaceful and quiet stay.

the gardens were pretty and well-maintained. the host, Guy Heinz, was friendly and helpful. I felt safe as a solo female traveler, which is really important. the price was decent and the selection of breakfast options, including continental and cooked breakfast, was great. the shower was very powerful and had lots of hot water. The bed was comfortable, making it perfect for a short stay if you're doing something local. Cons: Couldn't stay longer 😔.

Lovely stay, beautiful grounds, and classic Georgian-style house. Host's wife kindly dropped me to the bus stop. Delicious homemade breakfast by the host, laid out splendidly in the dining room. Very welcoming host, gave great advice on nearby food and drinks. Area around the village is charming.
